Well, these apps come with all sorts of features from scanning your account for further potential savings to giving you the ability to analyze hundreds of bills to monitor for lower rates. Account Savings Scans

Truebill touts an impressive savings success rate at a staggering 85 percent. That means for every bill that you submit to their platform they get you the most for your money almost nine out of ten times. And we’re not talking just any savings but their thousands of customers have saved an average of $100 million dollars over the years.

Zero Savings Guarantee

One of the best things built into this app is the savings guarantee. It’s your own sort of a money-back guarantee. Their promise to you is that if they don’t save you any money on your bills or subscription then they don’t charge you the forty percent commission fee. So you only pay after they get you a discount on our services.

Hiatus Features

Hiatus has over one million users. That’s an impressive amount of people that have been satisfied with their services since they first came to the market five years ago. As one of the largest fintech applications in existence, they have definitely set the precedence with their suite of services.

Bill Alerts

Not only does this app scan your accounts to see what bills you owe they also provide friendly bill reminders of when your next bill is due. That’s saving you money on top of saving your money.,..because they’re helping you avoid costly late fees, disconnection notices, and the hassles of a payment agreement.

Real Time Bill Negotiation

All of the apps on today’s review help you to renegotiate your bills for a lower savings rate. But Hiatus takes aggregated information from millions of sources in their database to get you the best savings possible. They use current trends by demographic cares to a price that can’t be beaten.

Free Trial Cancellation

Okay, guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve started a free trial on my Roku, or a television channel, or internet feature and completely forgotten about it. Because seriously, who puts that on their calendar? On the flip side, I can tell you all too well the look of surprise you will experience once five of those suckers come out of your bank account in one day…when the funds were clearly allocated for something else. Hiatus takes the guesswork out of this by allowing you to begin free trials on their application and reminding you to cancel them…before you get charged.

Net Worth Tracker

There are millions of people out there who don’t know their net worth. And for those who do, maybe more familiar with wealth management apps like Personal Capital.

Hiatus also offers a real-time tracker that gives you advice on increasing assets and the best allocations for your investments.

They also offer many other features such as :

  • Bill analytics
  • Spending trends analyzer
  • Budget tools
  • Budget planner

Trim Features

Trim is one of the veterans on the block when it comes to taking care of your bills. Their fees are the lowest of the bunch and they know their way around a high yield savings account. They also offer additional features for a small premium.

Bill Credits

Trim offers you savings by gathering your bills and slashing for the highest savings rates. Although you won’t see the results immediately, you will begin to see various bill credits start to show up on your accounts.

Budgeting Services

With its monthly budget monitoring service, you can basically set it and forget it. Trim stays on top of all of your monthly expenses and sends you alerts to let you know when you don’t have enough funds to cover a purchase or potential pre-authorized transaction.

Trimpay

Trimpay allows you to set weekly automated payments from your checking account to make partial credit card payments each month until the balance is paid in full. You can do this for as many cards as you want and be debt-free in no time.

But, it’s doesn’t stop there they also offer the following services:

  • High Yield Savings Account with 4% APR
  • Personal Finance Coach
  • Credit Climb Feature

Net Worth Tracker

There are millions of people out there who don’t know their net worth. And for those who do, maybe more familiar with wealth management apps like Personal Capital.

Hiatus also offers a real-time tracker that gives you advice on increasing assets and the best allocations for your investments.

They also offer many other features such as :

  • Bill analytics
  • Spending trends analyzer
  • Budget tools
  • Budget planner

Fees

I know you may be wondering if these apps are supposed to save me money, then why do I have to pay any fees? The truth is that none of these apps can do something for nothing, although one of them comes pretty darn close.

Once you take a look at the fee structure and experience the cost-saving benefits for yourself you will realize that it’s worth every penny. Seriously? If somebody told you that they could save you $1,000 and you only had to give them $10 would you do it? I sure in the heck would.

Still not convinced? Well, let’s get into it…

Truebill Fees

Truebill does have a slightly higher fee for their offerings, but you get what you pay for. They’re known for having an 85 percent success rate which proves they are some pretty tough negotiators. Which works in your favor. The service works diligently to go after all of your bills and negotiate them to the lowest possible amount. They also offer a premium suite of services which we will go into a little further down.

For $10 a month you can sign up to use TrueBill’s ranging from saving hundreds of dollars on your bills, to subscription management to getting paid for power outages. In addition to that you will have to pay a 40% commission on your annual bill savings amount.

So if you’re paying $200 for a cable, internet, phone package and Truebill gets you a discount of $960 per year then you would be charged roughly $34 dollars a month for their cut. That’s not too shabby considering you spend more than that for a week’s worth of gas.

Hiatus Fees

Hiatus has a fee that isn’t typically what you would want to see in a bill savings application. However, for the level of service that it provides as well as net worth tracking, which typically is a product of wealth advisers or Robo advisors,…you can consider it a premium. They do charge a fifty percent fee of the amount of savings you get off of your bill. Although to soften the blow, they do allow two payment options to suit your needs.

  • Upfront payment of fees
  • Monthly payment option according to savings amount

Trim Fees

Trim is more about providing their services at the lowest possible rate. Their current fees are one-third of the negotiated savings rate on your bills and subscriptions. They also charge this fee upfront. So there is no wiggle room when it comes to paying it later. SO that’s roughly thirty percent for every dollar that they save you on your monthly bill payments.

Editors Note: My recommendation is Trim. Hiatus and Truebill may offer substantially more services but Trim dos provide it at the lowest possible cost in comparison to the others.

Added Bonuses

  • Truebill also offers additional premium services for a small fee. For an extra $3 per month you can get budgeting services, access to a customer service chat , as well as fee reversal on those bank overdrafts.
  • Hiatus offers rate analysis on some of the most common loans you may carry such as your student loans, mortgage payments , and insurance premiums to gain additional savings in all areas of your life.
  • Trim will also be our financial counselor to assess all areas of your personal finances and keep you on the right track.

Truebill vs Hiatus vs Trim: Who Takes Your Money Further?

The Top Pick: Truebill

Hiatus has over a million satisfied users five years into the game. Those types of results just speak for themselves. They also offer features such as a net worth tracker, independent of Robo advisor fees as well as free trial subscription cancellation…which is where it hits lots of you in the wallet.

The annual percentage rate on Trim’s High Yield Savings Account is pretty nice to have as a benefit even though it does come with a monthly surcharge. The debt management services are an added bonus as well.
Truebill stands out as a service that negotiates your bills with a risk-free guarantee, and getting your money back for something is definitely a perk. They also work with thousands of bill providers and service carriers.

Overall, Truebill may have the highest fee per service but they clearly stand out as providing the best services and long-term benefits.
