Lots of people sign up for Uber without using a referral code. This is pretty unfortunate, as Uber has incentives for new drivers that can be quite lucrative.
They are usually in the form of a bonus or a guarantee.
- A guarantee means they will make up the difference if you don’t earn a minimum amount for a set number or rides in a specified time period.
- A bonus means that they will give you a cash bonus once you meet the criteria, which usually means completing a certain number of rides within a specified time period.
Don't worry! There may be hope yet!
Uber often allows you to claim the bonus if you submit the request within a short period of time after you begin driving. That’s right, you can claim the bonus after you have already started driving.
In order to do so, you must follow some very specific steps and provide them with a qualifying code. We are going to spell it out below. If you follow the steps and it works, please post a comment on this page to let us know. That way, we can keep helping other drivers get paid.

If a referral code was not successful when you first signed up, we will still honor the promotion if you provide us with your friend’s information within 7 days of completing the required number of trips.
This rule excludes all New York City partners. If you’re a New York City partner you must visit the Greenlight Hub to add a referral retroactively. We will honor your retroactive referral during your first Greenlight Hub visit as long as you provide us with your friend’s unique referral code, located in their referrals dashboard in-app.

How to Request Your Missing Uber Driver Referral Bonus or Incentive

- Log in to Uber.
- Then tap "Message Us" .
- Continue to Step 2 below.
Step 2
Fill out the form with the info below.
- Invite Code Used
- Friend’s name who referred you
- Friend’s phone number who referred you
- Friend’s E-mail address who referred you
- Share additional details
- Tap SUBMIT.
